Fresh off his stone-cold honest album In Defense of Drinking, Halverson brings raw, alt-country grit shaped by rodeo beer gardens, skate parks, and countless miles on the road. His songs pull no punches—heartbreak, self-medication, redemption, and the restless life of a modern troubadour—all wrapped in a distinctly Western edge.

Raised in tiny Canton, South Dakota, and road-hardened across the American West, Halverson’s sound lives somewhere between Willie & Waylon honesty and outlaw-leaning Americana. Tracks like “More Hearts Than Horses,” “Ft. Worth Losing,” and fan favorite “Beer Garden Baby” (re-recorded as a duet with Parker McCollum) have made him a must-see live act.
