Texas country veteran Matt Hillyer brings decades of road-tested songwriting and honky-tonk soul to the stage at The Table at Madeley on Friday, Aug 14th.

A true craftsman of Texas dance hall country, Hillyer has spent more than three decades refining a sound that blends rockabilly grit, western swing rhythm, outlaw attitude, and classic honky-tonk storytelling. Many fans know him from his 23 years fronting the legendary Texas band Eleven Hundred Springs, where he helped shape a generation of modern traditional country.

His latest album Bright Skyline captures that lifetime of influence in one collection — moving effortlessly from barroom twang to dancehall swing while staying unmistakably Hillyer. “I’ve always tried to mix up styles that I love,” Hillyer says of the record — a journey through the sounds that shaped Texas country.
